We will be using Gradescope (entry code: MV2YDM) for written assignment submission.
- 4 Written Assignments: 10% (2.5% each)
- 4 Programming Assignments: 50%
- I, II: 10% each
- III, IV: 15% each
- Midterm: 15%
- Final: 25%
Undergraduate CS theory (particularly basic logic)
There is no required textbook. You can optionally use “Compilers: Principles, Techniques, and Tools” by Aho, Lam, Sethi and Ullman as a reference.
All lectures notes, handouts and assignments will be uploaded on the class website. We'll also be distributing printed copies during class. You can find leftover printed copies in a cabinet labeled “CS143 Aiken” on the first floor of Gates.
