QC Ware will present a business-oriented overview of quantum computing, from the perspective of a start-up that is developing software and tools to address real-world QC use cases. The presentation will cover the strategic and practical considerations of launching a QC software company.

About the speaker:

[speaker photo] Matt Johnson is the CEO and co-founder of QC Ware, a quantum computing software company based at the NASA Research Park. Matt was the managing director of Apollo Management's German office and a founding partner of the €1.3 billion Apollo European Principal Finance Fund. Prior to that, Matt was an active duty US Air Force officer and served in Air Force Systems Command and the US Air Forces in Europe. Matt received his BS from the US Air Force Academy and his MBA from the Wharton School. Matt is an avid long-distance swimmer, and completed a solo crossing of the English Channel, the 26-kilometer Lake Zurich Marathon Swim, and the 28-mile Manhattan Island Marathon Swim.
