A note from University Librarian, Michael A. Keller:

Welcome to the new web site of the Stanford University Libraries and Information Resources, http://library.stanford.edu !

The new site is designed for easy, and we hope intuitive, use by Stanford students and faculty.

Over the past year, members of the SULAIR staff have worked with Stanford University Media Solutions to rebuild our web site. Throughout the project, the redesign team solicited input from faculty, staff, and students to ensure that the final product meets the needs of the Stanford community. The incredibly rich array of resources and content provided through the SULAIR web site should now be easier than ever for you to find and use.

Some notable features of our new site include:

  • Improved, quick access to many useful research resources,
  • Easy access to information about the libraries' services,
  • A How To section with links to instruction and policies, and
  • A Did you know…? feature highlighting new and exciting library resources.

As you familiarize yourself with our new site, we encourage you to explore further and discover the many great resources available from Stanford University Libraries and Academic Information Resources. And please let us know how it is working for you. Please submit any comments or questions about our new site through our Ask Us feature.

The new site will be more actively maintained, through the use of some innovative new tools provided by Media Solutions. I urge you to return to it again and again, because information on many, maybe even most, of the pages will be updated frequently.

Happy surfing!

Cheers,

Michael A. Keller
University Librarian & Director of Academic Information Resources
