1. SUL/AIR News Submission Update for Staff Announcements

It was brought to the editorial staff's attention that announcements for new staff members did not consistently include office phone numbers and email addresses for new employees. Since it takes some time for directories to get updated with this type of information, we are requesting (when possible) that you include in your new staff announcements, location, office phone number, and email address of the new employee.

This request was submitted by Rose Rajeff. Thanks Rose.

3. Web Search Engines

"For scientists, finding the information they want on the World-Wide Web is a hit-and-miss affair. But, as Declan Butler reports, more sophisticated and specialized search technologies are promising to change all that."
