Interhemispheric Resource Center, Environment °The IRC is a policy studies center that studies social and economic justice issues around the world . Foreign Policy in Focus includes reports on global warming, hazardous waste, carbon trading, and population and the environment.

G8 Information Centre ° Over 700 documents related to the environmental protection, climate change, sustainable development and the impact of the environment on health.

World Bank, Global Environment Facility (GEF) ° GEF was established to forge international cooperation and finance actions to address four critical threats to the global environment: biodiversity loss, climate change, degradation of international waters, and ozone depletion. Launched in 1991 as an experimental facility, GEF was restructured after the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro to serve the environmental interests of people in all parts of the world.

Organization of African Unity (OAU), Education, Science, Culture, and Social Affairs Commission (Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) ° "As of September 1968, the Heads of State and Government adopted "the African Convention on the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources". Currently the programme objectives of the Secretariat are oriented towards the promotion of environmental education and training at all levels with a view to increasing public awareness of environmental issues╔."

Earthlife Africa ° Focuses on a variety of environmental issues affecting Africa, such as nuclear waste, water and energy.

Americas

Latin American Alliance ° LAA is a science, business and faith endeavor whose mission is to present and develop environmental information for Latin American countries and to facilitate communications for the Consejo Interreligioso de Mexico (Mexican Interfaith Council). The website includes information about protecting biodiversity, sustainable management, ecological distribution, genetics, habitat protection, aspects of Latin America, and the promotion of responsible, sustainable commerce in Latin America.

UN ComisiŚn EconŚmica para AmÄrica Latina y el Caribe, Medio Ambiente (CEPAL, English acronym is ECLAC) ° Covers a wide range of topics including water, mineral, energy, marine biodiversity and human settlements.

European Commission, Environment Directorate General ° Policy areas include air, water, urban environment, industry, environmental economics, nuclear safety and civil protection.

European Environmental Bureau ° The EEB is the largest non-governmental organization environmental group in Europe. ItŇs purpose is to bring together environmental NGOs in the European Union member states in order to strengthen their effect and impact on the environmental policy and projects of the EU.

Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe - The REC was established in 1990 by the United States, the European Commission and Hungary. It contains a database searchable by country, topic, etc. that provides governmental agency information by country.
