David Press is currently working to make low-cost, energy efficient LED lighting a reality. He completed his PhD in Professor Yamamoto’s Quantum Information Science Group, where he was the recipient of a Sony Fellowship through the Stanford Graduate Fellowship program and an NSERC Canada Graduate fellowship. He previously worked on optoelectronic devices during internships at Luxtera, Galian Photonics, and Nortel. He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from Simon Fraser University.
