Participant Requirements - Berlin Required Materials


 

 

 

 

 

 


All of your materials are submitted electronically through the online application system.

Passport Scan

Every BOSP participant must have a signed passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the scheduled return date from the overseas program.

Please scan the passport information page that includes the page with your biometric information and signature. For non-US citizens with passports that have the biometric data on one page and signature on another, please copy them so that both appear on one page.

Upload the scanned passport information page to the online application system. If you did this when you accepted your spot in the program, you’ve fulfilled this requirement. If you did not, you need to upload it to your profile. Go to http://www.stanfordoverseas.com, login, go to the Profile link on the left-hand navigation bar and scroll to the bottom of your profile. Upload a jpg file.

Digital Passport-style Photo

Scan one passport photo* and upload it to your profile (see instructions above to navigate to your profile). The digital image must be a jpg file.

PLEASE DO NOT CROP THE PHOTO PRINTED IN YOUR PASSPORT TO USE AS YOUR DIGITAL PHOTO. THIS WOULD PRODUCE AND UN-USABLE PHOTO WITH WATERMARKS COVERING YOUR FACE.

International Student Identification Card (ISIC)

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) can be purchased for $22 online, at Bechtel on campus or at STA Travel on University Ave. The ISIC card provides some very basic travel insurance in addition to student discounts on plane tickets, museums, and other amenities. While students are required to purchase the ISIC card before departure, the BOSP office does not require a copy.

Online Orientation Form

Go to www.stanfordoverseas.com, login and click on the Orientation Form in the upper right-hand corner. This form will collect information concerning contact info, housing and preliminary course interests.

Please note that once you’ve submitted the online orientation form you cannot access it again to make revisions. If you wish to begin the form and complete it at a later time, please press save.

Krupp Internship Materials

Krupp Internship Application: For ALL students interested in doing a Krupp internship at any point in the future (during the academic year, this summer or next) you will be required to submit an application to Wolf Junghanns, the Krupp Internship Coordinator approximately 4 weeks after the second round results are released for your quarter abroad. See emails from the Orientation Coordinator for specific date, times and application materials

Health Insurance Letter: All students extending their stay in Berlin for the purpose of participating in the Krupp Internship Program will be required to bring with them a letter from their health care provider stating that they have health insurance coverage during their time in Berlin. This will be used after your arrival to obtain a residence permit in Berlin.
