The talk analyzes the diversity of materials narrated in Odyssey, specially the case of the apocryphal biographies by Odysseus, to show in what sense these compositional elements can be integrated into a  "Homeric Poetics of Truth" and what the effect is in the poem's interpretation.

Graciela Zecchin de Fasano is Professor of Classics at the University of La Plata. She is the member of the Center of Hellenic Studies and Editor of journal Synthesis.
