Ph.D. candidate, Language and Literature
Nolan graduated in 2013 from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Classics and an M.A. from the Master of Arts Program in the Humanities. He is a native of Melrose, Massachusetts and attended the Commonwealth School in Boston. His research is in the field of Archaic Greek poetry and modern political philosophy - he has recently written on Theognis and Hannah Arendt. As an avid foil fencer, Nolan hopes to continue his athletic career at Stanford.
