Simeon D. Ehrlich

Simeon is a Ph.D. candidate on the ancient history track. He received a B.A. in Classical Studies with Greek and Latin in 2010 and an M.A. in Classics in 2012, both from the University of Western Ontario. His M.A. thesis posited that Roman epitaphs recording hours of death served as the basis for horoscopes of the afterlife. He has conducted archaeological fieldwork in Israel (Ashkelon, Tel es-Safi), Turkey (Nysa-on-Meander), and Canada. His research interests include architectural and urban design, ancient mathematics, and the use of archaeological evidence as a source for ancient history.
