California Avenue Faculty Homes

A new community of homes for Stanford faculty is being planned for 17 acres on California Avenue in Palo Alto, across from Amherst/Dartmouth Streets. This is Stanford University land that is currently part of the Research Park. When the current leases on this land terminate, it will be redeveloped for faculty housing. This project is in the planning stages and the following are facts about this community as we now know them. This webpage is subject to change and will be updated as more information becomes available.

Availability The first homes are currently planned for 2017. Final completion is planned for 2018. These dates are subject to change.

Eligibility Faculty who are members of the Academic Council with a 100% appointment for a minimum term of three years with the possibility of reappointment
Priority #1 Faculty who have never owned a condo or a single family home in the Qualifying Area
Priority #2 Faculty who have never owned a single family home in the Qualifying Area
Priority #3 Faculty who own a single family home in the Qualifying Area
Interest List An interest list will be available in 2016. If demand exceeds the supply of homes a lottery will determine which faculty will have an opportunity to purchase.
