Education

Completed secondary school in Oberhausen in 1965. Attended University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany. Majored in philosophy and medicine (1965). Took job in hospital as orderly; transferred out. Transferred to university in Dusseldorf; remained for one semester then went to Paris.

Attended Hochschule fur Film und Fernsehen in Munich, Germany (1967-70). School founded in 1967; Wenders made seven films during attendance, two of which were officially produced by the school.
