Established in 2006, the J. E. Wallace Sterling Award for Scholastic Achievement recognizes outstanding overall academic performance at the undergraduate level. Highly selective, this award is presented to the top 25 students of each year’s graduating class in the School of Humanities and Sciences.
The Louis Sudler Prize in the Performing and Creative Arts was established in 1983 by Mr. Louis Sudler, an enthusiastic patron of and participant in the arts in his hometown of Chicago until his death in 1992. Prizes are awarded annually to outstanding students in each of the following areas: music, art, theater and performance studies, creative writing, and dance.
Up to three H&S Dean’s Prizes in Music are awarded each year to outstanding students in the areas of composition or performance.
