Overview

The Anna Sobol Levy (ASL) Foundation provides fellowships for the purpose of providing future U.S. leaders considering military or government service with an opportunity to learn first-hand about the unique relationship between the U.S. and Israel, to master regional politics, culture, and security affairs, and to study foreign languages.

The Award

This fellowship assists American students pursuing a master's degree at IDC Herzliya's Raphael Recanati International School, located near Tel Aviv. Fellowships cover tuition at the IDC (up to $16,000). Levy Fellows must enroll in one of IDC's security-related MA programs: 1) counter-terrorism and homeland security, or 2) diplomacy and conflict studies.

Eligibility

Candidates must be US citizens who are college graduates, and no older than 30 at the time of application. The Foundation awards fellowships solely on the basis of merit and without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin or gender. Prefer applicants who are committed to careers in the Foreign Service or in the various intelligence agencies.
