Named for Michel David-Weill, an alumnus of Sciences Po and former Chairman of the investment bank Lazard Frères and administered by the Michel David-Weill Foundation, this scholarship is awarded every year to an American student to pursue their post-graduate education at Sciences Po in Paris, France.
The Michel David-Weill Scholarship is awarded every year to one student who exemplifies the core values embodied by Michel David-Weill: Excellence, Leadership, Multiculturalism,Ttolerance and High Achievement.
Candidates will be selected on basis of their literary and scholastic accomplishments, their capacity to analyze critically, their morals and character, instincts to lead, and their commitment to community – local or global.
The Michel David-Weill Scholarship will carry a monetary value of $80,000 spanned over two-years of study. It will cover full cost of attendance at Science Po (including tuition and fees, housing, books, and other living/travel expenses.)

There are no constraints on the field of study, although candidates wishing to pursue a Science Po Masters program related to economics are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidate pursuing the Master of Public Affairs (MPA) and/or executive training courses are not eligible to apply.

To apply, students need to submit to the ORC for the campus level
Applications will be reviewed by a campus committee.
Our Stanford nominee will be required to complete the Michel David-Weill Scholarship online application file including the above-mentioned elements.
National Selection Process
Once the scholarship nomination pool is established, the Sciences Po Admissions Jury announces its decision on acceptance into the Master’s program, then five Michel David-Weill Scholarship finalists are pre-selected and are called to New York for a personal interview by the MDW Selection Committee in February 2014. The winner will be announced shortly following the decision.
