Overview

Oxford Pershing Square Scholars are extraordinary individuals with a passion for tackling world-scale issues while delivering sustainable and scalable impact, and will help redefine what it means to be a transformative global leader.

The Award

The Pershing Square Foundation has endowed up to five scholarships per year, which support extraordinary individuals in developing and realizing their potential as future global leaders by fully funding the MBA component of the Oxford 1+1 programme. (1 year master's degree plus 1 year masters of business of administration degree.)

The award covers 100% of university and college fees and a grant for living costs for one year only (during the MBA year).

Criteria:

  • Combination of academic and leadership potential
  • Strong personal character
  • Experience, aptitude and intention of pursuing a career that addresses global challenges
  • Articulated vision on how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will allow you to fulfill this intention

Eligibility:

To apply for the Oxford MBA, candidates should have:

1. A good undergraduate degree or equivalent: A 2.1 degree (GPA 3.5 or its equivalent). University academic transcripts will be required.
2. GMAT score: All candidates are required to take the GMAT test. The average GMAT score of our MBA students is around 690. 
3. A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Test Scheme (IELTS

The Application

Interested candidates should complete the online Oxford 1+1 MBA application, selecting 1+1 under the programme of interest. Candidates must also apply to the MSc of their choice (subject to departmental deadlines).

Candidates who have already been accepted to a partnering MSc programme are encouraged to apply to the MBA by the deadlinel to be eligible for the Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship.

Applicants admitted to the 1+1 programme will be asked to submit a short statement outlining "How do you intend to change the world? What does this tell us about you as a person?" Short-listed Scholarship applicants will then be invited to interview with the Scholarship panel.
