This is the home page for the Seventh Annual Semantics and Linguistic Theory Conference, which took place at Stanford University March 21-23, 1997.

The conference took place at the Gates Hall of Information Science (Computer Science Department), Stanford University. The talks were in the Hewlett-Packard Auditorium (Room B01).


Talks were 30-minute presentations (with 10 additional minutes for discussion) on topics in the semantic analysis of natural language emphasizing the connection to linguistic theory. For inquiries, write or e-mail the committee.

Parking is possible near the Gates Bldg on Saturday and Sunday. For Friday, parking in the A, C and Z lots requires a temporary permit until 4 pm. Contact the Transportation Programs office for permits and maps to the Stanford area.

The Marguerite, the free campus shuttle, also runs by the conference site.
