My background
I have been a nutrition expert/writer for for 7 years and for a decade I wrote the syndicated column, THE RECIPE DOCTOR, where I performed hundreds of recipe “makeovers.” I am also the author of 25 books on nutrition and healthy cooking, with my most recent books being FOOD SYNERGY and TELL ME WHAT TO EAT IF I SUFFER FROM HEART DISEASE. Several of my books have been translated into 10 languages and are being distributed around the world.

Over the years I have been a college nutrition instructor, I have appeared on various local and national television and radio shows, and contributed to national magazines (including Cooking Light and Dance Spirit Magazine.) I have also consulted to supermarket chains, websites, dance programs, and more. I have been a registered dietitian for 25 years and hold a bachelor’s in nutrition science and a master’s in public health nutrition.
