Welcome to Oak Creek Apartments!

Orientation for new residents at Oak Creek is mandatory. The orientation meetings are scheduled for:

Thursday, January 9th at 6 pm in the Oak Room, 2nd floor of the Club House

Saturday, January 11th at 2 pm in the Theater Room, 2nd floor of the Club House.

You must attend one of these orientation sessions before an Oak Creek ID card will be issued (used to access gym, pool, etc., and required for every Oak Creek event).

A Student Housing Oak Creek Apartment Room Condition Form is available on-line at http://www.stanford.edu/group/ugfrontdesks/cgi-bin/oakcreekrcf.fb. Please carefully complete this form, as you run the risk of being charged for any damages not noted. If you have any questions about completing the on-line Room Condition Form, please contact the Housing Front Desk.


Important Oak Creek Information

Laundry rooms are located on the 4th floor of each building. The cost is $3.00/load ($1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry). You can purchase a laundry card and load money onto it on the Eucalyptus Room. The cost for a laundry card is $5.00. Laundry hours are posted in the laundry rooms.

Contact the Oak Creek Administration at 650-327-1600 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Outside of these hours, undergraduates may contact their RAs for assistance. After 5:30 pm any student may contact the Oak Creek Courtesy Patrol at 650-537-0858 from 5:30 pm to 12 midnight. There is an $85 service fee.

You may also contact the Housing Emergency Maintenance Hotline at 725-1602 to request lockout assistance from the Housing Access Response Team (H.A.R.T). Please be aware that since the HART team is dispatched from the Stanford campus there will be a time delay in HART’s response to the lockout. The fee for lockout assistance from HART is $45.

R&DE Student Housing has provided the following utilities in each apartment:

  • Gas/Electricity
  • Water/Sewer/Garbage
  • Telephone - local and domestic long distance telephone service. International calling is not provided as part of the service, and you must not use the University phone for international calls.
  • Wireless Internet Connection

Oak Creek Apartments Guest Policy
You may only have 2 guests at a time in the common areas of the complex (such as the pool) and you must be with your guests at all times.

5-SURE Escort Service
If you need an occasional ride home at night, you can call the SURE Escort Service at (650) 725-SURE. They can provide a free ride home, and operate 7 nights a week.

Bicycle Parking
Residents of the Oak Creek complex must register their bikes with the administration office, and bicycles must be parked in the bike cages located in the garage area of each building or in the bike racks. If you receive an Oak Creek key to a bike cage, return it in to the Florence Moore Housing Front Desk when you move-out.

General Information

  • Quiet Hours run from 10:00 pm through 8:00 am with no exceptions, 7 days per week.
  • There is a $75 charge for a lost Oak Creek ID card or if you don’t return the Oak Creek ID card when you vacate. When vacating, return your Oak Creek ID card, parking permit and keys to the Florence Moore Housing Front Desk.
  • There is a $5 charge for a lost parking permit.
  • Lock change fee is $114, plus $5 per additional key if a key is lost or not returned when you vacate.
  • Please remember to turn off the lights and heat when not in use to conserve energy.

If you have any issues with the furniture in your apartment, including desk or floor lamps, please contact the Florence Moore HFD. For all other repairs (e.g., dripping faucets, appliance issues) please contact Oak Creek staff at (650) 321-9761 during business hours or (650) 537-0858 for urgent repairs after hours.

Internet Connection

Stanford provides internet service through Comcast. Students may need to purchase their own Ethernet cables to use wired internet connections in their apartment.

If you encounter an issue with your internet connection, you should contact the Comcast National Support Center at 866-511-6489. Select option #3, then option #2 for Teleworker service. This is the number for Comcast’s National Accounts Support Maintenance/Repair and is available 24x7x365. Teleworker service support personnel are well equipped to assist you with any issues you may be having and/or troubleshoot the problem to resolution. Tip: Before calling for tech assistance, first try powering down the modem and try connecting again, as many issues can easily be resolved in this manner. If the problem is determined to be with the wireless router, please contact Housing Assignments at 650-725-2810, as the routers were supplied by R&DE Student Housing.

Parking and Transportation

Oak Creek has ample uncovered, unreserved parking available on a first come, first served basis. Each apartment comes with one reserved parking space in the building’s garage. Permits for these spaces can be picked up from the Florence Moore Housing Front Desk. Important: Please be sure that you are parking in the space noted on the Oak Creek information sheet you received at check-in to avoid having your vehicle towed. If you can't locate your apartment parking space information, please contact the Florence Moore Housing Front Desk. All vehicles parked on Oak Creek premises are required to have a permit.

The Marguerite Shuttle - SLAC line stops at the intersection of Sand Hill and Stock Farm Roads and runs Monday-Friday from 8 am - 9 pm. In addition, there is an evening shuttle (OCA Evening Express) that runs between Oak Creek Apartments and Tresidder from 9 pm - 2:10 am, 7 nights a week.

Commuting students may purchase a “C” permit from Parking and Transportation Services. If you will just be parking on campus occasionally, you can pick up daily “C” lot permits for $4.50/day at Parking and Transportation Services or the Stanford Bookstore.
