  • Single Undergraduate Housing
Single undergraduate students under the age of 25 are encouraged to live on campus in Single Undergraduate Housing. Students may apply for residence halls, suites, or apartment style residences. Dining plans are required for all students living in the residence halls and suites.
Co-term students can only apply for graduate student housing in Axess.  Co-term students wishing to live in undergraduate housing for the summer should submit a HelpSU ticket to request that Housing Assignments create an undergraduate housing summer application which can then be edited by the student to reflect contract date and residence choice requests.

  • Single Graduate Housing
Graduate students or undergraduate students 25 years of age or older attending Stanford without a spouse, partner, or children are eligible for Single Graduate Housing. Single students are assigned to a variety of single-occupancy studio apartments and shared apartments with one, two, three or four bedrooms.

  • Couple without Children Housing
Graduate or undergraduate students who are married or in a domestic partnership with a partner who will co-occupy an apartment with them at least 50% of each week are eligible to live in couple without children housing. At Stanford, a domestic partnership is defined as an established, long-term partnership between two people with an exclusive mutual commitment in which the partners share the necessities of life and ongoing responsibility for their mutual welfare. Couples without Children live primarily in one-bedroom apartments or studio apartments.  Stanford two-student couples who choose not to live together on an ongoing basis cannot live in couples' housing for the summer only.

  • Student with Children Housing
Graduate or undergraduate students who have one to three legally-dependent children living with them at least 50 percent of each week are eligible to live in Student with Children Housing. Students with children may or may not be married or in a domestic partnership. Students with shared custody of their children qualify for this type of housing if the children physically occupy the apartment at least 50% of each week. If you are expecting a child, you may apply for Student with Children Housing for the quarter that corresponds to the second trimester of pregnancy.
