Summer Residence Choices

  • Single Undergraduate Housing
    Single and shared rooms in residence halls and apartments. All rooms and apartments are furnished.

    • 576 Alvarado Cooperative
      For continuing Stanford undergraduates only – priority to current Stanford co-op residents.
      Single occupancy, one-room double occupancy, and one-room triple occupancy rooms.
      Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing
      Co-op board plan required.
      As this is a cooperative house, all cooking and cleaning is done by the residents.

    • Governor's Corner - Residence Halls and Independent Houses
      The Independent Houses (EAST, Murray, and Yost) will be available only for the 8-week session.  EAST will be available to all undergraduate students, and Murray and Yost will house students in the Stanford Summer International Honors Program.
      The Sterling Quad Residence Halls will be open to all undergraduate students.
      Single occupancy, two-room double occupancy, one-room double occupancy and one-room triple occupancy rooms.
      Available for 8- or 10-week session, plus summer-autumn interim housing.
      Dining plan required.

    • Governor's Corner - Suites
      Four-, six-, and eight-bedroom suites, each with a living room and bathroom in an apartment-style building. Each student has a small private bedroom.
      Priority for assignment is to groups of four for the four- and eight-bedroom suites and to groups of three for the six-bedroom suites.
      Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
      Dining plan required.

    • Manzanita Park (Lantana and Castaño only)
      Single occupancy, two-room double occupancy, and standard rooms (one-room double occupancy or triple-occupancy rooms).
      Available for 8- or 10-week session, and also available for summer-autumn interim housing.
      There will be construction beginning on a new Manzanita Park residence hall right next to Lantana and Castaño, so students living here will experience dust and construction noise. Construction activity will be from 8 am to 5 pm. There will also be some changes to access and pathways.
      Dining plan required.

    • Arroyo in Wilbur Hall
      Double-occupancy standard rooms in a centrally located traditional residence hall.
      Available for 8- or 10-weeks session, but not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
      Due to common area renovations, there will be some construction noise and the lounge and computer cluster will be unavailable for part of the summer.  Arroyo residents will be given access to Manzanita common areas.
      Dining plan required.
    • Mirrielees Apartments
      For continuing Stanford undergraduates only.
      Two-bedroom double occupancy or three-bedroom triple occupancy apartments
      Due to renovations, at least one move will be required during the summer of 2014, either on the weekend of July 12-13 or on the weekend of August 2-3.
      Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
      No dining plan required

    • Oak Creek Apartments
      For older undergraduates only (who will be 21 by June 21) - priority to continuing Stanford undergraduates.
      These apartments are located just off campus, off Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto.
      Two-bedroom apartments shared by three students.  Each apartment has a full kitchen, living room, dining area, and one or two bathrooms.  Apartments with one bathroom are priced lower than apartments with two bathrooms.
      Available for 8- or 10-week session only; not available for summer-autumn interim housing.
      No dining plan required.

    • Summer College Residence Hall
      For High School Summer College program participants only
      Located in Florence Moore Hall
      Mostly one-room double occupancy rooms, with some single-occupancy rooms and a few triple-occupancy rooms
      Available for 8-week session only (longer if taking a course which extends past August 17).
      Dining plan required.

  • Single Graduate Housing
    Apartment homes ranging from single-occupancy studios to four-bedroom apartments shared with other graduate-level students.

    • Escondido South
      Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy
      Two bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
      Three bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
      Four bedroom/one bath, quadruple occupancy

    • Escondido Village
      Standard studio, single occupancy (available only to students assigned to Escondido Village standard studio apartments for 2014-15)
      Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy
      Two bedroom/one bath efficiency, double occupancy
      Two bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy
      Three bedroom/one bath, triple occupancy

    • Lyman
      Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy

    • Munger
      Studio – premium, single occupancy
      Studio – standard, single occupancy
      Two bedroom/two bath, double occupancy
      Four bedroom/four bath, quadruple occupancy

    • Rains
      Two bedroom/one bath, double occupancy

  • Students with Children
    Assignments are predominately to two-bedroom apartments in Escondido Village. All apartments are furnished. Students with one child may apply for a two bedroom apartment and students with two or three children may apply for two bedroom apartments and/or one of the few three bedroom apartments. As needed, we will offer additional housing in furnished two bedroom apartments at Oak Creek, a complex located adjacent to campus on Sand Hill Road.

    • Escondido Village
      Two bedroom/one bath
      Three bedroom/one bath

    • Oak Creek
      Two bedroom/one or two bath (each bedroom is furnished with two twin beds)
