Previous Performances

Passages of Martin Luther King was originally performed at Stanford University in 1993 on April 2, 3, 9, and 10 (with the Reverend Floyd Thompkins performing King). Revised versions have been presented as dramatic readings at Dartmouth College, January 15, 1996; University of Washington, Tacoma, January 15, 1998; Williamette University, January 21, 2000; Utah Valley State College, January 24, 2000; Princeton Theological Seminary, January 27, 2000; Northwestern University, January 11, 2001; the Oakland Rotunda, January 27, 2007 (with Aldo Billingslea as King); and several times at Stanford University, most recently on January 15, 2006. Portions of Passages were incorporated into a one-man dramatic reading titled Martin Luther King, Jr., on War and Peace, that was presented at Stanford on February 19, 2003 (with Aldo Billingslea as King) and at Oakland Lakeshore Baptist Church on August
28, 2003 (with Danny Glover as King).
