Vice-president: Qian Lin 林倩
Objectives: organize academic-related events, including faculty luncheon, career panels and workshops, professional seminars and talks. Assist incoming students in finding research group through a student mentoring network. Compile a database of Stanford Chinese alumni in Bay Area academia and Stanford Chinese Faculty. Establish connection with Chinese professional societies and groups in the Bay Area.
Qian Lin 林倩
Qian Lin (林倩) is a first year PhD student in Applied Physics, working in the Fan group on silicon-based integrated photonics. She received her BS in Physics from MIT in 2013 with an award on experimental physics. Prior to MIT, she spent her freshman year in the Physics Department at Peking University. She is enthusiastic in a variety of outdoor activities, including backpacking, climbing and skiing. She is also a social and competitive ballroom dancer, with Argentine Tango being her favorite. She is dedicated to help other students build up their professional network and design their career path.
