From April 10-14, 2012, 36 exemplary youth leaders from 17 different countries came together in an historic gathering at Stanford University to collaborate on their social, political, and economic initiatives and share their ideas with the world. During the five-day summit, the delegates engaged with world leaders, participated in leadership workshops, and defined and discussed the major issues facing the Middle East and the Unites States. The summit also featured 36 TEDtm-style presentations from the youth leaders, which are currently available to the world online. These talks cover issues from the power of citizen journalism to the role of microfinance in the Middle East. They are truly a unique opportunity to hear directly from the individuals who are driving current events, shaping the future of the regions, and defining the relationship between the United States and the Middle East.
