ChrisMcKay is a planetary scientist at NASA Ames Research Center, an expert on the atmosphere of Titan, the possibility of terraforming Mars, and has conducted explorations of life in extreme environments on Earth, from Death Valley to the Polar Regions. He came and spoke to the class in 2008, to discuss the Exploration and Colonization of Mars: Why and How?” and returned again in 2010 to focus on why it is important to engage in Biologically Reversible Exploration, so that if a second genesis was discovered on Mars, we could prevent the contamination of it with life from Earth.
