Bio-X NeuroVentures is pleased to announce a grant competition for purchase or fabrication of equipment by interdisciplinary teams of scientists working on innovative new technologies for the study of the nervous system.

Priority will be given to proposals from teams who make a strong case that the funded equipment will benefit several laboratories across disciplines and enable creative research that would not go forward otherwise.  Matching funds from departments, schools or laboratories are not essential, but would be a positive feature of a proposal.  Proposals are welcome from teams of Bio-X affiliated faculty operating at the boundaries of neuroscience with other disciplines.

Submitted proposals should adhere to the guidelines below.  A total pool of $500K is available for this competition due to the generosity of an anonymous donor and matching funds from Bio-X.

Proposals are due to Fiona Sincock, (fsincock@stanford.edu)
by April 22, 2013.

Awards will be announced by May 31, 2013.
