The CCSR building is a set of two seperate buildings with bamboo plant atrium in the middle and elevators in the center. The Baxter Laboratory director's office is on the 4th floor, south building (orange walls), room 4215. The labs are location on the 3rd floor.
Be advised of heavy construction near the medical center. Please leave extra time for traffic and parking. Self park in the garage and valet parking is available at the front entrance of the hospital (300 Pasteur Drive). Click here for more information regarding hosptial parking services.
The School of Medicine is on the Stanford campus in the city of Stanford, California between San Francisco to the north and San Jose to the south. Two main north-south freeways are Interstate 280 and US Highway 101. A commuter rail line, Caltrain also connects the Peninsula. Stanford's free Marguerite Shuttle connects with Caltrain in downtown Palo Alto.
The Marguerite Shuttle Line X and Line Y offer frequent service between the Palo Alto Transit Center and the Stanford Campus along with the School of Medicine. Connections with Caltrain, VTA, SamTrans, and the Dumbarton Express can be made at the Palo Alto Transit Center.
BART also serves the East Bay and San Francisco area and makes a CalTrain connection at Milbrea station.
- From San Francisco Airport: Take US-101 south (toward San Jose) and follow the Highway 101 directions.
- From San Jose Airport: Take US-101 north (toward San Francisco) and follow the Highway 101 directions.
- From Oakland Airport: Take I-880 south (toward San Jose) to CA-92 west (direction Half Moon Bay) to US-101 south (direction San Jose) and follow the Highway 101 directions.

Take the University Avenue exit west (toward Palo Alto/Stanford). Turn right onto El Camino Real and a left onto Sand Hill Road. Turn left on Pasteur and parking or valet is available. Caution: heavy construction is underway near the hospital.
Take the Sand Hill Road exit to the east (toward Palo Alto/Stanford). Turn right on Pasteur Drive.
