Featuring Giancarlo Aquilanti's Prima Missa: A Celebration of Life in the new version for chamber orchestra and chorus presented in preparation for the Chorale's recording sessions for Arsis Audio. The Chamber Chorale appears on the annual Stanford Invitational Choral Festival along with other ensembles from Stanford and Northern California.

A concert featuring the Chamber Chorale, Stanford Taiko, and the Zhejiang University Performing Arts Troupe.

7:30 P.M. Opera Hall of the Hangzhou Grand Theatre

A concert featuring the Chamber Chorale, Stanford Taiko, the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, and the Zhejiang University Orchestra.



Saturday, 21 June 2008: Tour Concert in Xi'an

8:00 P.M. Music Hall of Xi'an Conservatory of Music

A concert featuring the Chamber Chorale and Stanford Taiko.



Sunday, 22 June 2008: Tour Concert in Xi'an

8:00 P.M. Renmin Grand Theater

A concert featuring the Chamber Chorale, the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, and the Xian Conservatory of Music Choir and Orchestra. Program includes Beethoven's 9th Symphony (choral movement).

Friday, 27 June 2008: Tour Concert in Shanghai

7:30 P.M. Concert Hall of the Oriental Art Center

The Chamber Chorale joins the Stanford Choral Union, Los Angeles Children's Chorus, and Stanford Symphony Orchestra in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. Also on the program: Suite from Stravinsky's The Firebird, and piano soloist Jon Nakamatsu in Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

The Chamber Chorale joins the joins the Stanford Choral Union, Los Angeles Children's Chorus, the Stanford Symphony Orchestra, and choruses and orchestras from Peking University and Tsinghua University in the opening concert of the China International Youth Arts Festival featuring Zhou Long's newly commissioned work, Cosmic Flames, for taiko, chorus and orchestra, and Beethoven's 9th Symphony (choral movement).
