ERIC Documents

The ERIC Microfiche Collection provides a full-text version of most of the documents cited in the ERIC database through July 2004. ERIC documents from 1993+ were available in full-text online through the ERIC database; however, many have been taken down and ERIC issued this statement: "In early August [2012] we discovered that sensitive personally identifiable information appeared in some full text documents contained in the ERIC collection. Specifically, social security numbers and other highly sensitive information were found in multiple documents and in a way that could not easily be isolated. For that reason, we had to temporarily disable access to many full text documents." Please contact us (use the Ask Us link) if you need help finding an ERIC Document.

ERIC collects and disseminates virtually all types of printed materials, mostly unpublished, that deal with education -- for example, program descriptions and evaluations, conference papers, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, and resource materials.

The ERIC microfiche are filed numerically by the six digit "ED" number assigned to each document and shelved in cabinets in the microfiche storage area. A microfiche readers/printer is available.
