Lea is a senior in the Product Design program at Stanford. She joined DEL in the Spring of 2013 and is currently working on a project to redesign homework assignments in Professor Sheri Sheppard's ENGR-14: Introduction to Solid Mechanics class. She is also conducting research on the homework system across the STEM fields at Stanford. Lea is interested in using design methodology to improve engineering education and make it a more productive and open system that prioritizes student learning. She enjoys designing physical objects as well, and especially loves the building process and working with machines.

Lea's favorite person from history is Buckminster Fuller and her favorite painter is František Kupka. Her current interests include reading, furniture design, and yoga. When she grows up her goals include to design her own energy efficient house, to have a giant dog, and to drive a pre-1970s Mercedes-Benz.
