About

Emily Cao is a student at Stanford University graduating in 2017. She is pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Her interests include art, design, and product development, as well as teaching. In previous work, she has analyzed data for a semiconducter energy conversion firm and has developed art programs for the U.S. Arts Education Center. Her role as an undergraduate researcher on Epicenter's Fostering Innovative Generations Study (FIGS) includes organizing data for 26 universities across the country. She is interested in researching how to increase the effectiveness of engineering education, and her future goal is to design education programs that merge engineering and the arts.
