Bulletin: Oracle Financials Core Forms Users: Java Upgrade (Posted October 13, 2013)
Administrative Systems completed an upgrade to Java 7 on Sunday, October 13th at 8:00 a.m.
What does this mean to you?
Central Office Oracle Core Form users and users of Sunflower Assets, Labor Distribution Adjustments, Labor Scheduler Update, and EAM are now required to install Java 7 on their desktop machine.
Note: Users of Oracle Financials distributed web forms such as iJournals, PCard, Internet Procurement, and SU Expense Reports are not required to upgrade Java at this time.
Windows (PC) desktop users will be prompted in Oracle Financials to install Java 7 prior to accessing Central Office Oracle core forms, Sunflower Assets, Labor Distribution Adjustments, Labor Scheduler Update, and EAM.
- Desktop users with administrative access to their desktop may proceed on their own with the Java 7 installation as prompted by the installer application. Users should accept the program's default settings during the installation process.
- Desktop users without administrative access to their desktop will need to coordinate with their desktop support administrator to install Java 7.
Apple OS users are not required to upgrade Java at this time. If Apple OS users encounter any issues, please file a ticket with HelpSU.
If you have any questions about the Java 7 installation process, please review the Oracle Browser FAQ.
