Bulletin: We're Making Things Simpler with the New Axess (Posted August 7, 2013)

You asked, we listened, and on Monday, August 12, Axess users will see the first phase of the redesigned Axess site based on your input. The first phase brings a new look, increased speed, simpler navigation, and some new features! We invite you to visit Inside Axess for a preview of the redesign and an overview of key features.
Axess is used by students, faculty, staff, administrative system users, alumni, and family members paying their student's tuition; a total of more than 30,000 Stanford users each day. Partnering with a professional user experience and design firm, feedback was gathered from the community through an online survey, an analysis of help ticket requests, and targeted focus groups to identify the right changes to the site; those that would be meaningful to users across all of our user communities.
And don't worry; despite the changed look and some new features, you'll still be able to use Axess as you always have. It will just be easier!

Axess System Downtime
Please take note of the upcoming system downtime as we work to bring up the redesigned Axess. Axess will be unavailable from 6:30pm on Thursday, August 8 through 8am on Monday, August 12.
We ask that you prepare for this downtime by finishing all essential Axess tasks for that period by the end of the day on August 8.
Specifically, we ask that you submit all Termination, Off-Cycle Check and GFS Off-Cycle Webforms that are needed for Friday, August 9 by Noon on Thursday, August 8. Please submit a HelpSU ticket to Payroll if you have any questions.
Reporting environments (ReportMart1 and BI) will remain available during the Axess downtime. Report data will be as of August 7.
