The App-le of Any Traveler's Eye

It's here! Like a personal travel assistant, the Egencia app notifies you when it is time to check in for your flight, alerts you if don't have a hotel booked, and even reminds you to fill up your rental car before returning it – complete with the locations of nearby gas stations.

Flight, hotel, car and rail booking details and alerts are transmitted directly to your mobile device, so you always have the most recent information at your fingertips. And if part of your itinerary is delayed or canceled, the app lets you shop and book a room at a nearby hotel, or provides options to connect with an Egencia Travel Consultant to book new arrangements.

>> Download the Egencia app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store

>> Download the Egencia app for Android mobile devices from Google Play

Once you've downloaded the app, before signing in, click on the link below the sign-in box that says, "Need login help?" Enter your @stanford.edu email address, and follow the instructions from there. (Note: Do not use your Single Sign-on password as your mobile app password. These login credentials will only be for access to the mobile app.)

Kaisa Innamaa, Administrative Associate in Genetics, is the lucky winner of our drawing for two tickets to anywhere in Virgin America's domestic network. Kaisa and her family came to the U.S. just a year-and-a-half ago, so she's looking forward to seeing some American sights.

Meanwhile, the traveler for whom she booked the trip— Assistant Professor of Genetics Michael Bassik— has received United MileagePlus Platinum status, entitling him to complimentary Economy Plus seating and other benefits on United through 2017.
