Welcome from GSPB!
Welcome (back) to campus!
The summer might be over, but here at the Graduate Student Programming Board (GSPB), we believe you could still have fun and make new friends during the school year!
We are three new GSPB co-coordinators: Kate Lagerstrom (Biology), Kathryn Reyes (Genetic Counseling), and Robert Xu (Linguistics). We are dedicated to help you organize student events on and off campus, and connect with your fellow grad students!
Organizing an event is easy! You can propose one either by shooting an email to us (firstname.lastname@example.org), or attending our weekly lunch meetings (Tuesdays 12:00-1:00pm at Arrillaga Family Dining Commons). During the meetings, we will discuss and set out details of proposed events (logistics, costs, outreach plans). We will help you promote them in our weekly newsletter. Every event can have a total $150 budget (max $15/person). For more information, please visit our website at gspb.stanford.edu.
To kick off the year, we are hosting a beginning-of-the-year mixer at the Havana Room in the Graduate Community Center (GCC, in Ray’s Grill), at 12:00-2:00pm, with food, boba, and games! (Food and boba are on a first-come, first-served basis.) Please bring yourself, your classmates, neighbors, and friends! We look forward to seeing you there and answering any questions!
If you were a past event host, we appreciate your contribution to our community, and can’t wait to help with your new events! If you haven’t hosted before, what are you waiting for? Join the fun!
See you all soon, and have a great year!
Your GSPB coordinators,
Kate, Kathryn, and Robert
