Delivery Dates: Open the Settings and check Available, Due and Retract dates. While it is tempting to fill all of these in, it is often best to use them carefully. If you are setting up an assignment for immediate release, then you don’t need to set the Available Date – and if you ever want to use that assignment again (say, next year), that is one less setting that you have to change. Also, the Retract Date has no exceptions. If you set it, then students will not have any access to the assignment, even if they have a good excuse, like being ill or something. With the Due Date, the default is that students who have not started the assignment after the Due Date can still start it and turn it in (although it will be marked late).

Feedback: The default is Immediate Feedback, but this will allow students to see the answers before the due date. So, you may want to set a specific date. Think carefully about what boxes you want to have checked in Components Students Can See.

Don't forget to PUBLISH!! - Nothing is active until you click that button, but at the very least, you should save the settings.
