The Language Lab supports all instructors in the Language Center by facilitating collaboration and communication. More details can be found in the links in the sidebars of this website.
The Language Lab supports 70+ instructors in the Language Center in a number of ways. one of the core services focuses on providing the information in various ways to facilitate the collaboration and communication among instrutors and Digital Language Lab. The links to these information are located on the both sides of this website.

This website mostly contains the static information focusing on facilities, equipements, services, and resources. The Digital Language Lab Blog provides more dynamic and current information not only focusing on our Language Lab but also information related to foreign language instruction and technology integration in general. Instructors can comment on posts to start discussions and communicate with others. Twitter account for Digital Langauge Lab has the listwhich solicits timely information from a variety institutions and organizations. The Twitter feed in the left menu is collected and organized into a daily newspaper by http://paper.li. The collection of articles and information is updated every day in the 'Digital Language Lab Daily'. There is asuggestion form on the right..
Training and Documentation
The Lab offers training and consulting for instructors on integrating technology and Language Lab activities into their class curriculum. For example, we can provide training on creating online assessments in CourseWork and/or using the video capture carts for classes. We also provide training, consultation, events, and orientation workshops to help instructors integrate technology and equipment in the Language Lab into their classroom environment. Training and consultation could also include in-class video conferences or media production by instructors. This website also includes links to video tutorials, documentation, as well as list of teaching ideas and practices using technology. All instructors using Lab classrooms or creating audio response assignments are strongly encouraged to request an orientation for their class at the Language Lab in the beginning of the quarter.

Technology Enhanced Teaching Resources
The Language lab is constantly searching for new resources which might be useful for instructors. Some of the websites and organizations we follow are:
CALICO: The Computer-Assisted Language Instruction Consortium is an international organization dedicated to research and development in the use of computer technology in language learning: computer-assisted language learning (CALL).
IALLT: The International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT) was established in 1965. IALLT is a professional organization whose members provide leadership in the development, integration, evaluation and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, literature and culture. Its strong sense of community promotes the sharing of expertise in a variety of educational contexts.
ACTFL: The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction. ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 12,000 language educators and administrators from elementary through graduate education, as well as government and industry.
NFLRCs: There are fifteen LRCs, supported by grants under Title VI of the Higher Education Act, creating a national network of resources to promote the teaching and learning of foreign languages. Led by nationally and internationally recognized language professionals, LRCs create language learning and teaching materials, offer professional development opportunities for teachers and instructors, and conduct research on foreign language learning.
TESOL International Association: The TESOL International Association’s mission is to advance professional expertise in English language teaching and learning for speakers of other languages worldwide.
CLAC: The Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum (CLAC) Movement intends to make global competence a reality for students and to create alliances among educators to share practices and find ways to incorporate an international dimension in curricula, and, more generally, to achieve internationalization goals.
