Kathleen Eisenhardt Honored by Academy of Management
MS&E Professor Kathleen Eisenhardt received the Technology and
Innovation Management Distinguished Scholar Award at the 2014 Academy of
Management’s annual meeting. She was recognized for her contributions
to a greater understanding of firm strategies in fast-moving
environments, especially for tech-based firms. Watch her presentation at this year’s annual meeting.

Professor Riitta Katila Studies How Companies Develop Successful Products
Congratulations to Professor Riitta Katila for her promotion to full
professor! Katila researches technology strategy and organizational
learning. Her latest work examines how firms create new products
successfully. She has received numerous honors and awards,
including the Stephan M. Schrader Award for Outstanding Research in
Technology and Innovation Management. Early in her career she was
selected as an Alfred P. Sloan Industry Studies Fellow and won the

Fall. New Directions Seminar speakers include Vineet Goyal of Columbia
University, and Max Shen (pictured) and Terry Taylor, both of UC
Berkeley. Fall quarter Enterpreneurial Thought Leaders include founders
of Eventbrite, Nest, ModCloth, and Andreessen Horowitz, among others.
