Definition

The Group Object defines access to a set of objects. In general, a user can modify or delete objects that he shares a group with.


Related Objects

Objects that are part of a group- User, Network, Domain, Node, Admin Team, Reserved Name
Address spaces also have group association.


Access

A user can perform the following actions if it shares the same group and has the needed object access rights:

Domain Add names in this domain Node
Domain Modify, delete Domain
Network Modify, delete Network
Node Modify, delete Node
User Modify, delete User
Admin Team Modify, delete Admin Team
Address space Assign addresses from this space Node

Note: address space is not a NetDB object
Only users with group object access rights can create groups.


Allowable Actions

No special considerations.


Template

When a group is used as a template, no fields are inherited.


Quicksearch

No special consideratons.


Fields

    Character limit is ????. Must be unique among groups in NetDB.

    Special html characters must be excaped. Character limit is ???
