Dr. Pugh is interested in how genetic variation affects immune cell interactions, pathogen recognition, and the overall immune response. He received his Ph.D. in the Nikolich-Zugich lab at the University of Arizona, where he studied the effects of radiation and latent viral infection on the aging immune system. His current research addresses the mechanisms and manipulation of Natural Killer cell education.
