Finland is known for its world-class education and innovation system that finds creative solutions to global problems. While large corporations have traditionally driven the Finnish economy, today, technology startups are driving the future growth and well-being of Finland. Helsinki and its surroundings have become a major startup hub that attracts international talent and investors. Aalto University is at the core of this transformation.

Aalto University, together with the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, welcomes you to join REE Europe 2012 in Helsinki, Finland. The theme of this year’s conference is entrepreneurship education as a platform for cross-disciplinary collaboration, and we will be looking at how entrepreneurship education can be used to bring people together from across subjects, interests, and backgrounds in a university setting.

In addition to cross-disciplinary collaboration, this Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education will take advantage of a unique feature of the local ecosystem, where student involvement has driven the entrepreneurship revolution. Local students and entrepreneurs, and faculty will work together to think about how universities can best prepare aspiring entrepreneurs. There will be a chance to study best practices and opportunity to think about new and vital possibilities.

We also welcome you to stay longer and enjoy our beautiful city and its attractions. To find out what Helsinki has to offer, check out Visit Helsinki.

The conference will be in held in English, and no translations are offered.
