Robots Can Learn Much From High-Tech Playthings

At the annual Toy Fair last month, the huge annual show in New York where the
toy industry promotes its newest creations, robots were everywhere. 

One day soon, some experts say, robots may not only cook meals and clean the
house, but also routinely patrol homes and offices as security guards, act as
guide dogs for the blind and assist the handicapped and seriously ill in
various tasks. Even attaching robots directly to humans in the form of
responsive prosthetic limbs is close to becoming a reality.
