Future Technology May Help Paralyzed People Walk

Many paralyzed people could soon have a stimulating future ahead of them. The
Cleveland Functional Electrical Stimulation Center is gaining an
international reputation for cutting-edge research that experts say could
someday give some people the ability to walk again. The concept: If the
central nervous system is broken, why not use an outside electrical source to
stimulate the muscles and get them moving again?
