Electrode System Could Aid Paralysis Patients

Mechanical engineers and neurobiologists are collaborating to develop a
neural prosthetic that may help people who are suffering from severe
paralysis. The movable electrode system has the potential to detect neural
signals, translating them to a computer cursor, robot, or even a prosthetic
limb, offering hope to patients who cannot communicate or who have body parts
that cannot function.
