Hello, my name is Brent Koeppel. Since I joined RESNA, I have been involved in several research and development projects. Currently, I am working on several computer-based products for people with a range of limitations. The resason for this correspondence is that I am looking to hire several Macintosh (or Macintosh capable) software engineers. The position descriptions are attached below. Thank you. --------------------------------------------------------- Job Openings for 3 Macintosh Software Engineers -- Company description: Assistive Technology, Inc. (AT) is a small high-tech company in Chestnut Hill, MA developing computer-based products for end-users in the disability and education markets. -- Project description: AT's Freestyle is a custom hardware tablet product based on Macintosh Powerbook technology, with added hardware features including CD, custom audio, alternative input device support, universal infrared in/out, and custom power management features. Freestyle hardware requires a custom software interface and additional software features to enhance the Mac O/S. AT's Knowledge Navigator is an application program that enables user interface customization and alternative access to the Mac O/S. Knowledge Navigator is an easy authoring tool for creating a host of universally accessible applications. -- General requirements: Thorough knowledge of C programming language, Power PC code, Code Warrior. Applicants must be: quick learners, independent, self-motivated, able to work within a team environment (Knowledge Navigator software design team, Freestyle hardware engineering team). Applicants should be prepared to provide sample work/code, work full-time with competitive salary, and start immediately. -- Position descriptions: System Programmer, Freestyle. Requires: control panels/control strip items (menubar, window, audio and display controls), device drivers (esp. I/R), Text Services Manager (TSM), ADB, some assembly language (68k code), AppleEvents. Application Programmer, Knowledge Navigator.
