Pediatric Radiology Faculty Position

The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) at Stanford University is seeking a Pediatric Radiologist to join the full-time faculty at Stanford University. We are committed to improving pediatric healthcare through excellence in image based clinical care, education of future pediatric radiologists, and translational research for pediatric imaging. A candidate with the following credentials and academic interest is highly desirable: Expertise in Pediatric Interventional Radiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging, and/or General Pediatric Radiology. Applicants should have completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology or demonstrate equivalent experience. The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professorial level in the Medical Center Line or Clinician Educator Line. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The major criteria for appointment for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

The successful candidate will participate in clinical activities, teaching, and, if applicable, research in the pediatric radiology program at LPCH. The Children’s hospital has recently launched a new full service pediatric interventional radiology program with recruitment of a medical director. A new $1.1 billion children’s hospital including an expanded full service state-of-the-art radiology department is scheduled to open in 2016. The new 361 bed acute care hospital is located in northern California on the campus of Stanford University. A full range of primary through quaternary services is provided. Centers of Excellence include: Cancer, Cardiovascular medicine, Perinatology (newborn and fetus), and Neuroscience. A new children’s hospital including an expanded state-of-the-art radiology department is scheduled to open in 2016. The pediatric radiology program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital has undergone major expansion over the past five years with the appointment of five new pediatric radiologists to provide subspecialty expertise in neuroradiology, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, pulmonary, and fetal imaging, all aligned with the Centers of Excellence at the hospital. A full range of pediatric radiology imaging services utilizing state of the art technology are provided in an all digital department.
