Background

PhD Aeronautics & Astronautics, Stanford University, 2010-present.
MS Aeronautics & Astronautics, Stanford University, 2012.
BS Mechanical Engineering, University of Rochester, 2010.

Research Interests

  • Damage progression in composite structures
  • Mechanics of composite structures
  • Diagnostics & prognostics in Structural Health Monitoring
  • Damage mechanics

Current Research

Investigation into the effect of lightning damage on composite laminates, by examining initial damage in composite panels due to simulated lightning strikes and eventual comparison of strength degredation due to this damage.

Investigation into the effect of pre-load on Lamb wave propagation through composite laminates, for eventual use in real-time Structural Health Monitoring applications.
