Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN)

[This is my group]

The Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) at Stanford University School of Medicine is a chapter of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) whose purpose is to foster medical student interest in neurology by providing opportunities to participate in clinical, research, and service activities in neurology, increasing the student's neurologic knowledge, and creating an interest in the AAN.

Within the context of Stanford University School of Medicine, SIGN aims to provide a venue for students to interact with faculty members and residents through social and educational events. It is the hope that these events will benefit Stanford medical students by helping establish relationships that will help support their educational goals.

Historically, SIGN at Stanford University School of Medicine has also played an important role in fostering interest in medicine and neuroscience in the local community by participation in "Brain Day", where medical students and graduate student in the neuroscience PhD program come together to put on informative presentations for local high school students.
