Hart has captured a Wells Fargo stagecoach meeting the Central Pacific at a station in Cisco. Wells Fargo purchased the old Pioneer Stage Company in 1864 and this appears to be a stage on the route between Placerville and Virginia City. Cisco prospered as the temporary terminus of the Central Pacific, but declined when the railroad moved on. Crofutt simply refers to Cisco as "an eating station" (p.165).
