Spring Concert 2013: On the Shoulders of Giants

We are excited to announce Stanford Taiko's Annual Spring Concert! Entitled "On the Shoulders of Giants," this concert marks Stanford Taiko's first major performance in the newly-constructed Bing Concert Hall. The program will feature original compositions by current Stanford Taiko members, in addition to new interpretations of old favorites. We hope you can join us!

Started in 1995 by Stanford Taiko, the Intercollegiate Taiko Invitational is an annual event that brings together collegiate taiko groups from across the country and helps strengthen the intercollegiate taiko community through workshops with taiko professionals and performances to showcase each group. This year, the 18th annual Invitational is being hosted at Stanford University.

Wear loose clothing. Anyone in the community is welcome to join us. There is no age restriction and no cost for the workshop. No need to sign up, just show up. Come join UC Davis Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan, UC Berkeley Raijin Taiko and Stanford Taiko as we host the first ever NorCal Collegiate Taiko Tour! All three groups are coming together to perform Saturday, Mar 6 here at Stanford University so don't miss out on this little bit of taiko history!

All proceeds will benefit this year's Intercollegiate Taiko Conference, hosted by UC Davis Bakuhatsu Taiko Dan.
